TUITION SCHEDULE 

The following information shows all fees associated with attending HMS during the 2018 - 2019 school year.

 

2019 - 2020 Tuition for all grade levels:

$11,400.00 

 

TUITION PAYMENT OPTIONS

Tuition may be paid in one of three tuition payment options:

  • Annual Payment (August)

  • Semiannual Payment (August & January)

  • 10 Monthly Installments (July – April)

 

DISCOUNTS

Sibling discounts are available:

  • Oldest Child ….. None

  • Second Child ….. 5%

 

FEES AND CHARGES

  • Copies of Report Cards                                                         $1.00 per copy

  • Changes in After-school Program Selections                    $30.00 per change

  • Lunch Purchase (Kindergarten – 8th Grade)                     $5.00 per lunch or $850.00 for the year

  • Iliahi Street Access                                                                 $30.00 penalty for non-emergency access 

  • Late pick up fee                                                                      $30.00 for every 5 minutes or fraction thereof starting at 5:00 p.m.

  • Administrative Handling Fee                                                $150.00 for monthly billings

  • Tuition Refund Plan (TRP)                                                      2.1% of tuition - required for monthly & semi-annual payment plans

  • Late Payment                                                                          $35.00 per child/per month

  • Returned Check                                                                      $25.00 per check

 

PTO DUES

  • PTO dues for each student are included in the tuition. As membership is required, the dues are $30.00 per student for the entire school year. As a member, participation in the annual PTO fundraiser is obligatory.

 

Note: The Head of School has been delegated certain discretionary authority with regards to the above fees and charges.

AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM

Each year an enriching selection of after school classes are made available to Hongwanji Mission School students. Payments for these activities are due in full regardless of incomplete attendance or termination of attendance by the student. 

Payment Schedule

Fall Session

  • First Payment Due by 4:00 p.m. September 20th

Spring Session

  • First Payment Due by 4:00 p.m. January 17th

Withdrawal Policy

  • Prior to the first day of the program 100% refund will be given.

  • Classes will be pro-rated after the program begins.

FINANCIAL AID TO HONGWANJI MISSION SCHOOL

Financial aid applications are available online at:   http://www.sssbynais.org/

 

This website for School & Student Services (SSS) by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) has easy to follow instructions and the information needed to complete financial aid applications.

  • Deadline for filing application requests is May 31.

  • Submit all required documentation to SSS.  The evaluation will not be able to be completed until all documents have been submitted.

  • HONGWANJI MISSION SCHOOL (HMS) is a SSS Subscriber School. Ensure HMS is a recipient of your information by entering our:  HMS Subscriber Code: 1245

  • Analysis of the data by SSS will take about four to six weeks.  However, the process may take longer to process requests closer to the start of the new school year.

  • The HMS Finance Committee will meet during the summer to make recommendations.

  • The Committee distributes awards based on the following criteria:

    1. Availability of funds

    2. Demonstrated need relative to the other applicants

    3. The information provided by SSS

    4. Timeliness of the application

  • All financial aid information is confidential and is kept separate from the admissions process.
